Parental Leave

Prince Service & Mfg. has established the following guidelines for full-time employees to receive paid leave following the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. To be eligible for paid leave, the employee must be full-time and meet the same requirements for leave that exist under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA); namely, the employee must have been employed with Prince Service & Mfg. for at least one (1) year and worked at least 1,250 hours for Prince Service & Mfg. in the preceding twelve (12) months.

All employees must provide Human Resources with notice of the need to take leave. Prince Service & Mfg. will provide up to two (2) weeks' paid leave for the care of a new child. This paid leave shall run concurrently with any FMLA leave to which the employee is entitled, and employees may choose to use their PTO time once the paid leave is exhausted. Paid leave must be taken in one continuous period immediately after the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a child. Group insurance benefit premiums will continue to be payroll deducted from the paid leave and any PTO time the employee elects to use. If the employee transitions to an unpaid status, the employee must continue to pay their share of the elected benefit premiums, which will be collected upon returning to work. An employee's failure to pay their share of the benefit premiums may result in termination of benefits.

Birthing Person Health Leave

Prince Service & Mfg. has established the following guidelines for full-time employees to receive paid leave to allow for recouperation from the birth of a child. To be eligible for paid leave, the employee must be full-time and meet the same requirements for leave that exist under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA); namely, the employee must have been employed with Prince Service & Mfg. for at least one (1) year and worked at least 1,250 hours for Prince Service & Mfg. in the preceding twelve (12) months.

All employees must provide Human Resources with notice of the need to take leave. Prince Service & Mfg. will provide up to six (6) weeks of paid leave for a vaginal birth and up to eight (8) weeks for caesarean delivery.

This paid leave shall run concurrently with any FMLA leave to which the employee is entitled and any leave the employee may be eligible for under the Prince Service & Mfg.'s Parental Leave Policy. Additionally, employees may choose to use their PTO time once the paid leave is exhausted. Paid leave must be taken in one continuous period immediately after the delivery. Group insurance benefit premiums will continue to be payroll deducted from the paid leave and any PTO time the employee elects to use. If the employee transitions to an unpaid status, the employee must continue to pay their share of the elected benefit premiums, which will be collected upon retuning to work. An employee's failure to pay their share of the benefit premiums may result in termination of benefits.
